Our project experience at the state government level includes work for the Ronald M. George (RMG) State Office Complex at the San Francisco Civic Center (SFCC). SFCC houses the California State Supreme Court, as well as the Judicial Council of California and the Administrative Office of the Courts. We delivered a comprehensive set of 11 ECMs to renew infrastructure, reduce energy and water usage, address long-term challenges with the existing control system, and reduce operating costs. ECMs included complete BAS replacement, advanced BAS controls strategies, HVAC airside control strategies, lighting upgrades and controls, cooling tower optimization, and heating hot water system upgrades. These measures resulted in a 38% reduction in annual energy consumption. Learn More.
At CEG, we have extensive experience working with state governments and departments, making us a trusted partner in delivering projects across various states. Our extensive track record includes successful project design and implementation in diverse facilities, such as office buildings, data centers, hospital facilities, recreational environments, and correctional facilities. Throughout these projects we have honed our approach to meet state-specific codes, regulations, and requirements and to deliver high-impact projects.
Adhering to State Codes and Regulations: With our vast experience working in different states, we have gained a deep understanding of the various codes and regulations governing retrofit projects. Our approach involves in-depth research and collaboration with state agencies to ensure full compliance with all relevant guidelines. This enables us to navigate the complexities of each state's unique regulatory landscape seamlessly.
Procuring State Permits and Licensing: We recognize the importance of obtaining the necessary permits and licenses for retrofit projects. Our team efficiently handles the permitting process, obtaining required approvals promptly to avoid delays in project implementation.
Building Local Teams and Engaging In-State Personnel: A key aspect of our approach is our commitment to building local teams to support project execution. We hire qualified personnel from within the state, bringing dedicated knowledge of state-specific energy and construction requirements to our project teams. By leveraging local expertise, we ensure that our solutions are tailored to address the specific needs and challenges faced by the state.
Promoting Local Business: We firmly believe in supporting local businesses and communities. As part of our implementation strategy, we strive to hire locally for our project teams, including subcontractors and construction managers. This approach not only fosters economic growth but also enhances project efficiency by leveraging local resources and networks.
Robust Communication and Project Support: To facilitate seamless coordination between our local personnel and our headquarters, we have developed a thorough system for communication and project support. Our headquarters team collaborates closely with the in-state personnel to provide necessary expertise, guidance, and resources throughout all project stages, ensuring smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
Diversified Project Portfolio: Our experience spans across various state ESPC sectors, allowing us to adapt and cater to the specific needs of each facility type. Whether it's a project in an office building, a data center, a hospital facility, a fairground, a correctional facility, or any other type of facility, our expertise and knowledge enable us to deliver effective and tailored solutions.
At CEG, we are committed to driving positive change and contributing to the goals of state governments. Our proven track record, local engagement, and compliance with state regulations make us a preferred partner for state departments seeking comprehensive and sustainable energy solutions.
