Every successful project starts with a clear understanding of your facility. We gather detailed site data and model baseline performance to integrate upgrades that cut costs and strengthen operations. This upfront clarity ensures projects generate positive cash flow and align with client financial goals.

In-Depth Audits

Our highly-technical team reviews all available facility data to identify pain points, then conduct full-building audits of equipment and operating conditions. We use building automation systems, utility loggers, and on-site audits to uncover inefficiencies and hidden opportunities.

Data-Driven Engineering

Our engineers leverage collected data to develop accurate baseline energy use and projected energy savings for proposed Energy Conservation measures (ECMs).

Design & Fund

For each project, our design team and the project manager collectively manage the design process to create solutions that go beyond basic replacements and incorporate integrated upgrades that optimize O&M costs and enhance resilience.

We then help structure the best capital approach to fund the project. We have supported financing for more than $500MM projects to date, securing incentives for 98% of our clients.

Initial → Final Design

Once we have determined critical needs, we work with our clients to select the most beneficial and impactful package based on life cycle cost analyses, energy and non-energy factors. For complete transparency, we transform the preliminary designs into a complete set of construction documents for client review and approval.

Incentives

We capture every available dollar from local utilities and rebates and leverage federal and state grants and tax credits to reduce upfront costs. We leverage our nation-wide experience obtaining incentives for similar technologies, as well as our strong relationships with local utility representatives.

Financing

After exploring all subsidized options, we assist in coordinating with our extensive financing partner network to evaluate flexible financing structures that fit your goals. Projects are typically funded upfront by a third-party financier and repaid through guaranteed annual energy and O&M savings. Leveraging our experience in competitively procured financing, we help reduce costs and contract terms while working with clients to select the best-value partner.

Construct & Manage

Our approach to project implementation prioritizes stringent safety as well as cost, scope, quality, and schedule control. We selectively subcontract implementation of approved scope to local subcontractors, but provide full-time, on-site, and in-house construction management at a lower cost and with more control than firms that outsource construction management.

Our in-house Safety team works with the construction team to develop site-specific safety plans, ensuring every task is executed with precision and protection. At the same time, we guarantee compliance with local building energy and emissions regulations.

Verify & Sustain Savings

We provide a custom suite of performance period services to verify that savings exceed guaranteed savings for each project. To-date, our total verified savings have surpassed guaranteed savings on all our projects by ~13%.

  • Measurement & Verification:

    Each year, our engineers conduct detailed measurement and verification (M&V) to confirm performance against savings guarantees. Customized plans, based on federal M&V standards, provide transparent results and annual reports for every client.

  • Other Services:

    We offer a full suite of support to sustain performance, including operations and maintenance, retro-commissioning, monitoring, and training for facility staff. These services keep systems adaptable, reliable, and delivering long-term value.
