Overview
Belkin International sought a clean energy solution to reduce operating costs and align with sustainability commitments. With CBRE Group (the world’s largest commercial real estate services firm), CEG acted as the general contractor to develop and install a non-penetrating, ballasted rooftop solar PV system, ensuring system reliability while protecting roof integrity. The installation contributes to Belkin’s goals of meeting LEED standards.
Results
The solar PV installation offsets 20.4% of Belkin’s annual electricity consumption, delivering an estimated $1MM in lifetime savings and eliminating 3,741 MTCO₂e of emissions. The project demonstrates how renewable energy investments can simultaneously reduce costs and support corporate sustainability targets.
