Project Scope

CEG worked with CBRE Group, the world's largest commercial real estate services firm, to customize a new facility to meet the needs of Belkin International, an electronics manufacturer, in El Segundo, California. 

CEG was the general contractor for the project, and as such, we developed, designed, and installed a ballasted rooftop solar PV system that did not require any roof penetrations. The system will offset the total electricity consumption of the Belkin facility by 20.4%, and is expected to produce 5,278,380 kWh which will offset 3,741 MTCO2E over the system life. The solar PV system will contribute to the facility achieving LEED certification. Throughout the project, CEG worked with the architect and the design team to ensure that the system would meet the necessary LEED standards. CEG also collaborated with the local utility to design and install the system with remote disconnection in order to minimize cost.
